Q.My Bougainvillea Is 9 Years Old. It Looks Dry And Unhappy And Can’t Seem To Bloom.
Our bougainvillea in front of house is about 10 years old. I know someone kept cutting it back before we moved in and I’m not sure you are meant to cut bougainvillea back? Either way now it looks dry and sad and has few flowers. See pics. Thanks

It sounds like your bougainvillea may need some fertilizer. You may also want to do a soil test to see if it's getting the proper nutrition. This plant likes acidic soil. Check to see if your pH balance is somewhere between 5.5 to 6.
