Making An Organic Spray For Brassicas

I’ve been thinking about making some organic garlic spray rather than buying it to control insects on my brassicas and please don’t tell me the best way of dealing with caterpillars is to pick them off at night as I said I have bought Garlic spray but it works out quite costly but it does work with periodic spraying so any good tips for home made organic spray
