Q.Leaves Turning Brown

Zone Elgin SC 29045 | Anonymous added on October 11, 2022 | Answered

I have a Japanese maple planted in a pot. Bought it about 2 months ago and planted in the pot. I have this sitting beside my patio, it gets mostly afternoon sun, on west side of house. It started doing the leaves turning brown, I tried both water more and water less and it still is not doing well. It is still shooting new growth out. I’m at a loss see picture, thanks!

There is no photo but it likely is getting too much strong sun. Can you set it on the east side? Or provide some shade for the afternoon sun?
