Zone Watsonville, California | curdzy added on May 12, 2015 | Answered

Took pic on walk down my son’s street in Watsonville, California. Is this a fried egg plant? Thanks.

Don’t suppose it could grow where I live in Richmond, IL? (60 mi NW of Chicago)

I'm sorry but we did not receive your photo. Here is an article on fried egg plant that will aid in your identification:

The fried egg plant is rated for USDA plant hardiness zones 8-10. Richmond, Illinois is zone 5A, so it would not be a good fit.
