Burning Red Dogwood

hrvracer added on October 16, 2015 | Answered

If a red dogwood plant is burned, will it recover? I have seen lilacs burned to the ground and come back to life. The red dogwoods are full of cornstalk and corn husks from a strong wind we had. We would like to just burn the debris off.

I would not advise this as a technique to clean the plants.
