Q.Identification Of Japanese Maple

Zone zone 9b | brushagain added on March 22, 2021 | Answered

I purchased a beautiful Japanese Maple a few days ago in my local nursery (zone 9). The tag on it says “Green Japanese Maple” “Acer palmatum”. Now, I know there are quite a few maples that are classified as acer palmatum, and after a very extensive Google search, I don’t seem to be able to find the exact one that I have (by looking at leaf structure, etc.) Would you be able to help me with the name of this tree? Knowing exactly which one it is would be extremely helpful to me, as I would like to know what to expect as far as how big it will get. Thank you! Pictures attached

With the number of cultivars out there, it would be futile to try to name this. It does however look a lot like 'Glowing Embers,' which is described below. I suggest going back to the nursery and see if they have more specific records of the name of this variety.
