Q.I Have A Mature Sissoo Tree Planted In My Front Yard. The Tree Has Done Well For Over 15 Years. I Live In A Community That Has A H
omeowners association that takes care of the front yards. They water the grass 3 times per week for 5 minutes each time. My Sissoo has yellowing bark on one side. Is the tree getting too much water? What else could be causing the bark to yellow? The soil is clay. It is planted in Bermuda grass with Rye winter grass.

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to get a good look at the damage. It could be a watering issue, but it could be something a little more sinister, like a bacterial or fungal infection. Root damage can make things worse. With a better look, I might be able to give a little more detail on your issue.
