Q.How to propagate clematis

Zone 4 | schautzie added on July 5, 2012 | Answered

I picked up a young clematis at a local hardware store (on clearance) and when I was going to put it in the ground, I noticed the bottom of the stem was broken. Not sure if I bought it that way or if it happened after I bought it. Anyway, has anyone had good results propagating these in water?

Propagating this plant from cuttings is easy. Here is more information: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/clematis/propagate-clematis-cuttings.htm
