5 Hostas approximately 10″ tall and 12 small Coleus to be planted under a large Oak tree with a base of approximately 2 feet in diam.

Both of them are well suited for the job. Keeping them in containers is much like keeping them in ground, but it will be necessary to keep a watchful eye on watering.
