How do you make a sago palm grow taller?

Sagos are at best slow growers - like 1' in 8-10 years. That's under optimum conditions. Less than optimum conditions - not enough sun, not enough drainage, too much cold, pH off - and growth is even slower. So the only way to have them grow taller is to give them what they need and be patient.
