Q.Hibiscus in a planter

Anonymous added on November 26, 2014 | Answered

I have a hibiscus plant in a planter in my sun room. Can I prune it back now (November)? And can I put it in the garage for the winter or does it need to be in a warm house?

You can prune it back by up to 1/3 now. Unless it is a hardy type hibiscus, I would recommend that you keep it in the house. It will go completely dormant but will come back in the spring. If you store it inside, just make sure to water it about once a month or so.
