Q.Hibiscus Buds

Anonymous added on April 28, 2011 | Answered

I just bought a Hibiscus plant, which I have in a flower pot. One of the flowers has fallen off, leaving an empty spot. Do I need to do anything to ensure that another flower will bloom again in its place?

No, as long as the rest of the plant is healthy, additional buds should develop to replace the one lost. However, if there are multiple buds that fall, especially prior to blooming, this could signal a potential problem. If that is the case, this article will help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/hibiscus/hibiscus-flowers-hibiscus-blossoms-falling-off-plant.htm
