Hibiscus

Question

I live in Washington, DC and now that winter is arriving, should I bring the plant inside and prune it, perhaps in the basement or place in a sunny spot and continue to water as usual?

Either of these is fine for a tropical hibiscus. If you put it in the basement, keep it in a dark place and water once a month. If you keep it in a sunny place, expect that you will see some leaf drop on the plant.
