Q.Dogwood Trees

Anonymous added on March 16, 2012 | Answered

I heard when you plant a dogwood, you should have a taller tree beside it to give it shelter and protect it from heat as the tree grows.  I live in Roseburg, Oregon. Which plants go well with the dogwoods here?

White pines, hemlock and redbud make great companion trees for dogwood. You can also plant shrubs like azalea, rhododendron and forsythia next to them.
