I Live in zone 5b. I bought a small dogwood tree from Lowes. It is growing well and after 4 yrs it produced flowers. For 2 springs now it produces flowers. The problem is it produces only 2 petals. At her first year of flowering, i thought it was just because it was young but this year all the flowers have only 2 petals. What is the matter with my tree, is it a bad tree?

Plant mutants exist all throughout the world. Sometimes this can happen without warrant. Just enjoy the tree, and care for it, as if it were normal. This will be a fine conversation piece one day.
