My two Gerber daisies in pots to keep them warm and alive over the winter

Since you are in Zone 8, you could sink your pots into the ground and mulch over the tops to keep your roots warm. You can also pound in stakes around them, and wrap plastic or burlap around them making little shelters for them. Your other option, of course, is to bring them inside and baby them through the winter.
