Q.Cuts/ Slits In Anthurium

Zone M4X 0A1 | SSOOMROSANAH added on August 17, 2020 | Answered

Hello! I have an Anthurium plant that otherwise looks healthy but the leaves and flowers get cuts/slits, even the new leaves. For leaves, almost all leaves have one cut, and for flowers, each flower has several cuts but on the edges. 1. Can you please help me resolve this? 2. I keep my anthurium in the corner of room but I have a big window on the other side so my room gets light. Should I put my anthrium near curtained window in the morning, and back in the room corner in evenings? 3. This is my first ever plant. Can you guide me on how to fertilize my anthurium to get more flowers before winter comes, and how to care during winter? Thank you so much!

I see signs of infection. Make sure that you let the soil dry out down to about 2 inches or so, completely, between watering. From here, you will need to treat with a fungicide, and correct watering habits.
