Q.Can peony bushes be planted in the spring?
I ordered them from a nursery and they were sent in the fall but I was unable to plant them so I do not know if I should wait until next fall or plant them in the spring. They are still in their original shipping boxes and packaging.

Yes, they can be planted in spring just fine. They aren't really too picky about the cold. It is the heat that they cannot tolerate. I am concerned they are still in boxes. Always remove plants from boxes as soon as you receive them.
