Q.heliotrope plant in a large pot

Zone Bellevue, Washington 98006 | clmietus added on July 4, 2015 | Answered

Can I change my originally purple Heliotrope from the color pink it is now? It was only purple one season. I have a heliotrope plant in a large pot. It was originally purple but each summer since it is bright pink. Is there a way to get it back to purple? I had a pink Hydrangea that was pink and it is now blue because I put Aluminum Phosphate in the soil.

This is most likely a hybrid cultivator and it can be reverting back to a different color.
Also many of the cultivators do start darker and brighter and as the plant ages the color of flowers will lighten.
Other then provided the optimum care there is nothing that can change the color back.

Here is a link with care information.
