Bougainvillea Problem

Question

I have a problem with my bougainvillea. I give it water every 4 days. It’s in a position with a lot of sun. The weather here is hot (33-36 Celsius). I bought it a few days ago and even though its in good health, at the points where new plants should grow I noticed this problem (photos). What should I do?

I don't see the problem unless you are referring to the thorns, and those are normal. There is nothing to do.
