Q.Bougainvillea Need Some Help

Zone 33830; zone 10 | Anonymous added on April 29, 2021 | Answered

I have 4 Bougainvillea plants that are about 1 year old. I have a watering system setup so they can get as much water as they need but I don’t want to over water. I am now watering once every three days for 6 minutes. Too little? Too much? What do my plants need to become more healthy??? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide!

Their environment does not look ideal. There is competition from grass or weeds and the soil looks like it needs compost worked in. Bougainvillea only need water when they start to wilt and the soil is dry, so watering on a schedule may be too much.
