Q.Baby toes propagation

Zone 22192 | Anonymous added on February 3, 2019 | Answered

I have a medium sized b toes plant , see attached picture, & want to propagate it. Will the “leaves” create new roots? Or should I cut a piece of the trunk stem off to create new rooting? I am using a rooting dust on the bottom of the cut piece. Thanks!

You can, actually, use either. A leaf will root as well as a stem (which is actually a modified leaf). Here is an article for more information on the plant: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/cacti-succulents/baby-toes/growing-baby-toes-plant.htm
