Received this as a gift.The tag gives you care instructions that say the soil must not be allowed to dry out,so water regularly. Do not let stand in excess water. Add fertilizer once every six watering.Does this look like it has soil? If so how do I fertilize it..

This is, essentially, a passive hydroponic container. You can move this to soil, as it will live much longer in a soil than it will there. Watering that consists of keeping the water level at the root zone but not at the crown of the plant. I would opt to move it over to a soil container.
