Q.An Abnormal Cherry Tomato

Zone Ohio | megan.flanagan05 added on September 14, 2020 | Answered

Hi, I have a question. Earlier, I was watering the tomatoes, and I noticed something odd with a single cherry tomato. It was 3x it’s size, very bumpy, and it was white on the bottom. Do you know what this could mean? Thanks!

This is, usually, indicative of a fungal infection. This can happen when the fruit sits on wet soils. To prevent this, keep fruit from sitting on the soil. Remove that one, since it can spread to other portions of the plant.
