Zoysia Grass. Fairy Ring/brown Spot?

Treated with Scott’s DiseaseX. Seems to have stopped disease. Grass is growing in middle of ring but very flat to ground. This grass(?) has rhizomes. Was told it is a weed by a lawn company and should be replaced with plugs. Could it be zoysia and I just have to be patient for it to grow taller to become even with the rest of the lawn. There are quite a number of spots which would be very expensive to plug. Please help me. This problem took hold while we were away for the summer. Have been dealing with it since mid Oct. Thank you.

It does look like brown spot. If you have the disease stopped, proper mowing, watering and fertilizing will help it to grow and fill in again. It does spread by rhizomes and some consider it invasive, so it shouldn't take long!
