Q.Yucca Tree cutting

When I am working on my Yucca do I always need to wax the trunk when cut? If not when do you know to do This? Rescued a Yucca, please help!

It is not completely necessary to wax a cut, as it will heal just fine on its own. This is, primarily, done professionally to reduce disease. When there are several plants in close proximity, it is necessary to take precautions.

Waxing is popular with fruit trees, or otherwise any other plant prone to infection from pruning. Yucca aren't too particular here.
