Q.You Say When To Fertilize But Do Not Give The Ratios #-#-# Of What Should Be Used

Zone Roseville CA 95747 9 b | Anonymous added on June 15, 2026 | Answered

I started out looking for a Livia. I’m in zone 9B and mine has been outside all year long for quite some time. It gets beautiful green leaves but no flowers so I’m trying to figure out what the ratios are when I go to them nursery to look for on the fertilizer aisle And how often to do this so I’m hoping that you can help me and this is the problem I have with all Plant sites or people who post things about Plants they don’t tell you the key saying that’s the home Gardener needs to know so I’m hoping you can help me with my Livia It’s it’s it’s gorgeous leaves every year. It just comes back. I don’t do much to it, but it never blooms I’ve thought about repotting it. Not sure if I should pot it up a pot or just replace the soil that it’s currently in so I’m hoping you can help me at least with my Clovia and take pity on us. Home2 gardeners when you give information about Plants, these three numbers are important to know what to use to fertilize the plant and how often Thank you very much – sly1539@yahoo.com or perhaps you know of a site that would list all the type of house Plants backyard planning for the different zones that would say here’s the three digits you need for the fertilization and then show how often when it should be fertilized how often it should be watered I go to lots of sites and some of the information is there but not all of the information in one place so maybe you know I’m a one stop shop for help thank you very much

Your plant looks low in the pot like it needs more potting soil. It may help to repot with fresh potting soil up to an inch from the top. You can add perlite (about 1/3 perlite, 2/3 potting soil) to enhance the drainage.

This Florida publication shows a lot of plant profiles including clivia. It says to use a half strength 20-20-20 every other week April through September.
