Q.Yellow Spots On Cucumber Leaves New Zealand

Zone Auckland | msadat added on November 29, 2020 | Answered

Hi there, i have grown about 20 plants of cucumber from seeds and they are 3 different types of cucumbers: – Telegraph cucumber – Lebanese cucumber – Short cucumber All are planted in a raised garden bed. Lately i have noticed that a yellow spots are appearing on the leafs, initially i though its a Fungus diseases and sprayed copper for once a week for 2 weeks and removed all the affected leaves, but they still keep coming on the new leafs. Also on some of the plants the new baby cucumbers turn yellow and drops before getting mature. Can you please advise what this problem could be and how to treat them?

This appears, either, fungal or algal related. This is most common with soils that don't have enough time to dry out down to at least 3 inches or so between waterings, and when leaves are misted and remain in humid areas for too long.

From here, Make sure to apply a fungicide. This article will help:

It is helpful to test the soil for pH swings and nutritional imbalances. These articles will help:
