Q.yellow leaves on new gardenia bush

Zone southeast | midgegloe added on June 26, 2012 | Answered

I planted a new gardenia bush outside in a partly shady area – gets shade in the afternoon, morning sun. The leaves are turning yellow. I have been watering a good bit because it is so dry here in the south. Am I watering too much, not enough? How much should I water?

Yellow leaves normally signal that the plant is under some type of stress. In order to remedy the problem, you must first try to pinpoint the issue. This article should help you with that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/flowers/gardenia/helping-a-gardenia-bush-with-yellow-leaves.htm
