Yellow Leaves on Gardenia Plant

Question

I bought a gardenia plant. I have it on my balcony. It gets morning sun. I usually water it twice a week. Recently some of its leaves have turned yellow. What can I do to stop the leaves from turning yellow? I did fertilize it once with Mircale Grow. Did I do the correct thing? Or should I buy another fertilizer for the gardenia? I would appreciate any help.
