Q..y Japanese Plumbing Trees Are Beautiful And Healthy But Always Bloom In Fall And Some Blooms Get Damage In Winter Frost S And I D

on’t get fruit in spring. Got 1 plumbing this year. Any solution Trees about 5 or 6 years old. Was told they would adopt. I’m in zone 8. Not sure this will happen.

It can take up to 10 years to bear fruit, depending on the age of the tree when it was planted. likely it will be on closer to 6-8 year mark. This would explain the poor fruiting. Since you are on the lower end side of the growing zone, you might need a little extra protection in the winter. Though the tree will settle in and survive in your zone, it may not bear fruit well, or at all without a little winter protection.

It would not hurt to test the soil for nutrient or pH imbalances. Having these in perfect range will increase the chances that you will see fruit.
