Q.Worm Casting Harvest

Zone 76528 | Sandra Remson added on May 18, 2018 | Answered

I have had worms for 3 years. I hate the harvesting! Today I decided to give my worms a bath! I threw in the a few scoops of castings into a 5 gal bucket of water, swirled it a few times and poured it on my plants. When I got down to the bottom sludge I poured back on top of my worm bin. I know I poured some worms out on my plants and some probably died but most were still wiggling when I put them back in the bin. They were in the water about 5 min total. I would like some comments about this method. thx

I see nothing wrong with this. Sometimes it is necessary to do something like this to keep things under control. I don't have any comments against it.
