Q.Woodland Garden Design

Zone Hudson, OH | billsteph added on April 19, 2016 | Answered

We had to remove a number of mature ash trees due to damage from the emerald ash borer. Consequently, we lost our beautiful woodland garden area. Now the area is mostly sunny, but we would like to try to re-establish a woodland garden.

Do you have any suggestions for design ideas, types of plants, etc.? We garden in northeast Ohio, USDA zone 5b.

Thank you

Here are some articles to help you get started on your landscape project.
I would also encourage you to contact your local County Extension Office for a list of plants specific to your area.
