Q.Wisteria Pruning

Anonymous added on January 4, 2014 | Answered

I live in the tropical Island of Puerto Rico where our winter months do not drop below the mid 60 degrees F. This is zone 9 – 10. Wisterias do not shed their leaves indicating dormancy. Should I proceed to pruning as instructions online for winter pruning to promote blooming?

In your area, it should be fine to go ahead with pruning. These articles will help with both current pruning and getting it to bloom: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/pruning-wisteria.htm, https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/vines/wisteria/wisteria-blooming-problems.htm
