Q.Wisteria blossoms – why are mine engulfed in greenery?
I have a 12 year old wisteria which has produced good numbers of blossom in recent years but which are engulfed by the green leaves. There is a nearbye specimen which has a magnificent show with virtually no leaf to hide the blossom. What am I doing wrong?

Wisteria needs pruning twice a year to trim back over-zealous growth. If you are already doing that, next look at how much, if any, fertilizer it gets. Higher nitrogen fertilizers encourage, in this case, excessive leafy growth. Below are links to articles on pruning and fertilizing wisteria. There are also YouTube videos on pruning.
