Q.wisteria

Zone Isleworth TW7 7EX uk | Anonymous added on May 12, 2017 | Answered

We have an established Wisteria, approx 6 years old…. 4 main trunks of 1-2 inches diameter……all flowering lovely this spring ‘except one’ !……it seems completly dead ! flowers tried to bloom but failed, other 3 branches completly normal with lovely blooms, how can this be ?
I have looked for wisteria scale and brown scale = no trace……..
Should we saw off this trunk incase it spreads to other branches ?
What can we look for to rectify this problem ?
Thank you so much for any help
Regards
