Q.Winter Rye

Zone 04217 | Anonymous added on October 28, 2023 | Answered

I was only able to purchase perennial rye grass. I want to use it for a winter cover crop and till it under in the spring. Is this the correct appliction for a green manure versus an annual rye grass.

You need the annual rye grass because the perennial will come back. Even if you till it under any remaining roots will regrow.
