Winter Care Please

Jodi.flies added on November 13, 2015 | Answered

I live in Northern Virginia and purchased a few new plantings earlier this year: 1) Oak Munchkin Hydrangea 2) Double Play Big Bang Spirea 3) Juniper Blue Star 4) Spiderwort (Tradescantia) Sweet Kate ...might there be some attention given towards them and to winterize? I live in hardiness Zone 7. Thank you for taking the time to read his and possibly answer too. Jodi

Your Oak Munchkin Hydrangea;
mulching will help with moisture retention, though pruning is rarely needed except to keep it's shape and remove dead branches, this can be down in late winter to early spring.
