Q.Will Scrub Grow Back?

Anonymous added on August 14, 2011 | Answered

I cut a scrub down to its root and removed most of the branches but left the root behind. Not sure what kind of scrub it was, but there were light green and white leaves on it and it grew wildly. Will my scrub grow back seeing as how I left the roots behind? If not, what could I use to remove the root, as I have a bad back?

It may come back. We recommend treating the roots with boiling water (just pour boiling water on). It will kill any vegetation it comes in contact with, so make sure that you only pour it on the plants/roots you want to get rid of.
