Q.Why won’t my tuberose bloom?

Zone 94015 | san372@yahoo.com added on January 31, 2019 | Answered

I’ve had my plant for more thank 2 years. The leaves have been healthy until an infestation of aphids but it’s still alive. There are only half a dozen leaves left but it’s never bloomed.

If you grow them in pots, there can be a few reasons why a mature size bulb won't bloom. One is the temperature is not warm enough during growing season, and the other is that the overwintered bulb was not kept dry enough, causing the potential flower buds inside the bulb to die.
