Q.Why Won’t My Impatiens Develop Seed Pods?

For the past few years, my annual impatiens have not developed their delightful little seed pods despite a great blooming season. I really miss seeing those little pods and the self-seeding volunteers that follow. Any ideas?

This sounds like a soil fertility or pH issue. These two factors can effect each other, and they can effect the plant.

I would start by checking pH and nutrient levels:
