Q.why my fig tree has no figs?

Zone Virginia | barry added on May 22, 2012 | Answered

I planted a fig tree in my backyard some four years ago. Second year there were some figs on it, but last year none. This year I saw several small fruits but they disappeared. What is wrong?

If your tree is having difficult fruiting, then this article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-tree-is-producing-fruit.htm

If you are seeing fruit that suddenly disappears, you may have an animal pest (like birds or squirrels) that is taking your fruit. If this is the case, these articles should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/fegen/protect-fruit-tree-birds.htm
