Why is Russian Pomegranate starting to die from the top branch down ?

I bought a Russian Pomegranate tree a few months ago. First it was very good growing, but later it starts dying from the top branch then down to next one and next…I’m really worried that it will die to the ground.
Your answers to help me to save my tree is appreciated. Thank You.

Your tree may have a fungus.You should inspect the branches that have died and, perhaps, take a sample to your local extension service agent.
