Q.Why is one of my Euonymus bushes doing more poorly than others next to it?

Zone Central Florida, Zone 9B, The Villages | Anonymous added on August 13, 2020 | Answered

The Euonymus bush has brown edge on the leaves and hairy growth on the woody stems. I pruned it back and sprayed for insects. Should I remove the bush?

You could give it a little more time to see how it does with the insect spray. The hairy growth could just be aerial roots growing if it's a vining variety such as sarcoxie.

Scale is common among euonymus shrubs. Here is info on other possibilities.
