Q.Why Is My Pony Tail Palm Stem Soft And Flaking
My ponytail palm arrived last month. She had very few roots. Put her in succulent soil. She is losing her palms and her trunk is soft and peeling. Is there a way to save her and also is it going to cause a problem with this piece of bark coming off

This appears to be a lack of light, and possible overwatering, unfortunately.
I can't recommend those colored LED. Though they may have enough lumens to satisfy the requirement of the plant, it will not have the PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) value to sustain plant growth.
I would, much, recommend window light if possible. If not, then a plant LED that appears more "white" in spectrum will cover more of what the plant will need. While having some waste, it will cover what the current light will be missing.
These will be quite capable of withstanding some drought, too. They will not enjoy overwatering, however. Be sure to only water when the soil is dry, almost, completely.

Thank you for that information. Can you please tell me if she is recoverable with her bark peeling off
