Q.Why is my jade plant is dropping its leaves

Zone Zone 7 | Mikailat89 added on July 25, 2018 | Answered

My jade has had what I considered normal leave shedding since I got it. The leaves would dry (they almost looked like crystals) and then fall. Recently it has started dropping its plump juicy leaves. I checked the roots and they are not rotted, the soil is barely damp and has good drainage. What do I do to save it? It is a large plant, about 1.5ft. There is still new growth and new baby leaves spouting.

This can happen when there is not enough light. these will prefer bright, full sun. Sometimes can be sensitive to it if the temperatures are very hot. If this gets full sun, and the temperatures are abnormally high, then this could be the issue.

However, the opposite can be true. If the plant is in too dark of an area, then it will show the same response. This is more than likely the issue, as this is much more common.
