Q.Why Is My Butternut Squash Not Bearing Fruit And Can I Cut It Back As Its Growing So Big?
My butternut squash is growing out of control has a few yellow flowers on it but then shrivel up I have lots of new green flowers coming through. It is in my greenhouse it is bearing no fruit. Can I cut it back and how do I do this. Mrs C Hughes.

You will likely need to pollinate the female flowers with male flower pollen, by hand. This can be done with a small, soft paint brush.
Pruning isn't necessary, and should be avoided, as it can lead to infection, fairly quickly.
