Q.Why is my burning bush 1/2 dead and sending out tons of runners? This has never happened.
It is about 14 years old. The other one we planted died about 2 years ago.

Burning bush spreads by underground runners and by seed. It is considered invasive in some areas. Though it's not often bothered by insects and disease, it can happen. This article should help:
