Why Does My Pacific Sunset Maple Tree Not Turn To Fall Colors?

I have a newly planted Pacific Sunset Maple tree (2020) which has experienced great growth, but for the second year, it has produced no fall color. I chose this tree for its potential fall color, so I am disappointed. I understand the drought might be a facotor here in Sioux Falls, SD.
