Q.Why does my lime tree not fruit?

It has flowers on it each year (have had it for about3/4 years) and small fruit forms then go yellow and fall off. I have no trouble with my lemon and mandarin trees in similar positions. Are there several types of lime? Is there a non fruiting type?

There are two main types of lime trees: Mexican lime (Key lime) and the Tahiti (Persian or Bearss) lime. There is not a non-fruiting type. Your trees have the capacity to fruit, we just need to figure out why that is not happening, and the article below is a good starting place to make a determination on that:
